Jane's Due Process is a nonprofit organization ensuring legal representation for pregnant minors in Texas.  Our goal is to have every pregnant teen know that she has the right to seek legal help, to be treated with respect and sensitivity by those who work in the legal system, and to participate in legal proceedings where everyone is interested in following the law.

If you have questions after reading through this website, or want help in obtaining legal representation for yourself (the pregnant teenager) regarding a judicial bypass waiver, protective order or violation of your education rights, please call our toll-free statewide legal hotline at 1-866-www-jane (1-866-999-5263).

Warning: Clear Your Computer History

If someone might check to see what you've been doing online, it's safest to use a computer at a friend's house, library, or other place that you trust to keep your information private.  If you have to use a home or school computer, be sure to clear your browser history to help protect your privacy.

If someone knows how to read your computer's history or cache file (automatically saved web pages and graphics), he or she may be able to see which websites you have visited.  The following steps can help protect your online privacy.

  • Firefox - Pull down the Tools menu, select "Clear Private Data," make sure every box is checked (except "Saved Passwords" if you haven't saved any passwords), click on "Clear Private Data Now."
  • Internet Explorer - Pull down the Tools menu, select "Delte Browsing History," click on "Delete All."
  • Safari - Pull down the Safari menu, select "Reset Safari," make sure every box is checked (except "Remove saved names and passwords" if you haven't saved any passwords), click on "Reset."

*Jane's Due Process cannot guarantee that the procedures described above for clearing your computer's history will be 100% effective.
